We recently encountered an issue on one of our clients’ eCommerce websites when updating their WooCommerce plugin. The error manifested in multiple areas, including the analytics page and the WooCommerce homepage, resulting in an inability to populate order information and displaying a warning message that read “There was an error getting your inbox. Please try again.”
Further investigation revealed that the root of the issue was a conflicting plugin – iThemes Security – which fortunately did not require deactivation. We were able to identify the specific setting that caused the problem, located in the System Tweaks section, and resolved the error by unchecking it and saving the settings.
While we were able to resolve the issue, we recommend that either WooCommerce or iThemes Security release an update to prevent this conflict while still allowing iThemes Security to filter long URLs.
